The Finance & Administration Clerk will provide day-to-day financial and administrative support. The role will focus on accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, data capturing and general finance administration.
The successful candidate must be accurate, organised, computer literate and able to work independently while meeting deadlines.
Matric / Grade 12.
Minimum 2 years' relevant experience in finance, bookkeeping, accounts or administration.
Accounting, Finance or Business Administration qualification/studies would be advantageous.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
Experience with accounting or ERP systems such as Sage, Pastel, Syspro or similar would be advantageous.
Accounts Payable
Capture and process supplier invoices.
Match invoices to supporting documentation.
Assist with supplier reconciliations and queries.
Maintain accurate supplier records.
Accounts Receivable
Capture customer receipts and transactions.
Allocate receipts to customer accounts.
Assist with customer reconciliations and debtor administration.
Follow up on outstanding information.
Reconciliations & Finance Administration
Assist with bank, supplier and customer reconciliations.
Identify and report discrepancies.
Capture authorised financial transactions and journals.
Assist with month-end administration.
Data Capturing & General Administration
Accurately capture financial information into accounting systems and spreadsheets.
Maintain electronic filing and financial records.
Check documentation for completeness and accuracy.
Update spreadsheets, reports and trackers.
Provide general finance and administrative support as required.
Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Complete work within agreed deadlines.
Follow established procedures and instructions.
Take responsibility for allocated tasks.
Maintain confidentiality of financial and client information.
Communicate professionally with colleagues, clients and suppliers.
Be willing to learn new systems and processes.
