Happlicant is a recruitment platform built specifically for solo recruiters and small agencies. We help independent recruiters run their businesses more efficiently through better candidate management, client workflows, and automation.
We’re an early-stage, bootstrapped SaaS with a clear niche and a strong vision. We care about clarity, usefulness, and sounding human—not like generic AI-generated SaaS marketing. We genuinely want to make B2B marketing fun, and we’re building a product that our customers actually enjoy using.
We’re looking for a scrappy, curious, outcomes-driven sales person to become one of our earliest hires. This is not a corporate SDR job where you read from a script and log activities. This is a role for someone who loves talking to real humans, spotting opportunities, and experimenting with ways to bring value to an underserved niche.
You’ll be the bridge between product, marketing, and the independent recruiters we’re building for. If talking to customers energises you—and you thrive in ambiguity—you’ll love it here.
Own the full outbound + inbound sales funnel (no hand-offs, no silos).
Build and test outreach sequences tailored to solo recruiters and small agencies.
Run demos that feel like real conversations, not sales pitches.
Report insights back to product: pains, objections, feature wishes, buying behavior.
Help shape our sales strategy, messaging, and positioning.
Continue iterating the playbook as we grow—this is a zero-to-one role.
You’re a natural communicator who actually likes talking to people.
You’re proactive, creative, and comfortable in a “build as you go” environment.
You can handle a mix of structured work and messy, experimental work.
You’re motivated by results, not by being micromanaged.
You appreciate simple, honest messaging and dislike buzzwords.
Bonus: Experience selling to recruiters OR working inside a small agency.
(Not required—but you’ll ramp faster.)
You’ll have a direct impact on product, pricing, and go-to-market.
Zero bureaucracy. No big-company weirdness.
Founder-level visibility into how the business grows.
Flexible hours and fully remote.
A chance to shape the voice, attitude, and systems of an early SaaS with a clear niche.
Customers who genuinely need better tools—and tell us so every day.
Competitive early-stage contractor/part-time compensation with option to grow into full-time.
Commission on new revenue.
Opportunity to expand into a leadership role as we scale.
