Accounts Payable Financial Controller

Department:                   Finance – Accounts Payable

Reporting To:                  Accounts Payable Manager

Working Hours:             Monday to Friday (08:00 – 17:00)

Overview

A senior finance opportunity is available for an experienced Accounts Payable Financial Controller to manage a high-volume AP portfolio while leading a team and ensuring strong financial controls, supplier management, and operational efficiency within the finance department.

Minimum Requirements

·         Relevant qualification in Accounting or Finance

·         5–7 years’ Accounts Payable experience

·         3–5 years’ team leadership experience

·         Strong reconciliations and financial controls experience

·         ERP system experience (Syspro/Pastel or similar)

·         Advanced Excel skills

·         Exposure to import/export or multi-currency environments advantageous

Key Responsibilities

·         Manage a defined accounts payable portfolio

·         Lead and develop a team of Accounts Payable Clerks

·         Ensure accurate and timeous invoice processing

·         Review supplier reconciliations and resolve account queries

·         Maintain strong financial controls and compliance

·         Monitor supplier age analysis and payment terms

·         Support reporting, cash flow planning, and process improvements

·         Collaborate with internal stakeholders across Finance, Procurement, and Operations
