Business Systems Analyst (Power Platform / Data Integration)

Our client is seeking an enthusiastic Power User who will grow into an internal specialist in a powerful low-code platform for data integration and digitisation. This platform collects data from various sources (mainly via APIs and connectors for systems such as Microsoft Dynamics, CRM, Microsoft 365, databases, and field data), structures it, and makes it available through user-friendly dashboards, workflows, and digital workspaces.

As a Power User, you will support the business in making optimal use of the tool. You will act as the first point of contact for queries, resolve basic issues, provide feedback to the development team, and carry out minor configurations. This role is ideal for someone who can bridge the gap between business processes and technical solutions.

You will be trained internally as a specialist and will play a key role in the further adoption and optimisation of the platform.

In addition, exposure to Microsoft Power Platform development and opportunities to support other cloud-based systems may form part of the role.

Responsibilities

• Understand and explain how the platform and associated dashboards function

• Provide first-line support to internal users (troubleshooting and query resolution)

• Gather user feedback and communicate improvement suggestions to the development team

• Build and customise dashboards

• Analyse business processes and identify data requirements in collaboration with stakeholders

• Test and validate configurations to ensure a positive user experience

• Support change management initiatives related to system implementation and adoption

• Research and implement new data integrations with various internal systems

Required Skills and Competencies

Functional & Technical Skills

• Proven knowledge of:

  • Microsoft 365 environment

  • Low-code platforms

  • System integrations

  • API development and usage

  • SQL (ability to read and write queries)

  • Data models (fields, relationships, master vs transactional data)

  • SharePoint

• Basic knowledge of JavaScript, Python, SQL, or C#

• Strong understanding of business processes and data flows

• Azure, Power BI, and .NET experience is advantageous

• Previous experience within an engineering or technical environment is beneficial

Soft Skills

• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly

• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities

• Attention to detail with a focus on testing and validation

• User-focused approach with an understanding of user experience

Profile of the Ideal Candidate

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business analysis, data management, or process optimisation

• Minimum of 5 years’ relevant working experience

• Experience as a key user or power user of business systems (ERP, CRM, BI tools)

• Proactive, eager to learn, and service-driven

• Strong command of English (written and spoken)

• Strong interest in data and digital transformation
