Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Booking Consultant with strong experience in the transport and tourism sector.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of travel bookings, with a specific focus on coach and bus operations, trip planning, and driver scheduling.

This role requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is highly organised, and able to adapt to extended or flexible working hours to ensure operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and process all travel bookings, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Coordinate logistics for coach and bus services, including route planning and supplier liaison.
• Develop detailed trip plans and itineraries for tourism packages.
• Plan and manage driver schedules, ensuring optimal utilisation and compliance with relevant regulations.
• Liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure the smooth execution of travel arrangements.
• Handle client enquiries, resolve operational issues, and provide excellent customer service.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tourism trends, destinations, and industry regulations.
• Adapt to changing operational requirements and client needs within a dynamic working environment.

Minimum Requirements

• Matric (Grade 12).
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Booking Consultant or in a similar role within the tourism or transport industry.
• A National Diploma in Tourism or Business Management will be advantageous.
• Proven experience in coach and bus operations.
• Experience in trip planning and itinerary development.
• Experience in driver planning and scheduling.
• Valid Code 8 driver’s licence.
• Ability to work flexible hours based on operational requirements.
• Strong ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in booking systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
• A genuine passion for travel and service excellence.
