

Our client is seeking a highly qualified individual to join their Sales Team as a Regional Sales Engineer. The ideal candidate will be based in Gauteng, with responsibilities that include travel to KwaZulu-Natal and occasionally into Africa.
The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, detail-oriented, and work well with others. Key requirements include a positive outlook, effective time management and organisational abilities, and strong written and verbal communication skills.
The role involves growing sales within an established territory by meeting with existing customers, potential clients, and manufacturers' representatives. Responsibilities include negotiating technical equipment sales, building strong customer relationships, and maintaining clear communication with internal Sales, Applications Engineering, and Marketing teams.
Responsibilities include regular sales visits to potential and existing customers, engineering specification reviews, system design, direct response to customer enquiries, support of office sales personnel, and various other tasks to support the technical sales of process equipment across multiple industries.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as professional telephone etiquette, are essential. Travel will be required.
Identify potential new customers.
Qualify customer enquiries from websites, resellers, and direct contacts.
Follow up on all leads and contact information provided.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with a diverse customer base within the materials handling industry.
Evaluate customers' material handling projects.
Design material handling systems to meet customer requirements.
Determine appropriate pricing and prepare quotations.
Follow up and negotiate with customers to secure orders.
Review quotations generated by office sales personnel.
Provide technical sales support where required.
Obtain all relevant information required for system design, production, and controls departments.
Act as liaison between customers and internal teams during project execution.
Monitor and track leads and quotations within the CRM system.

Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office 365 (Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
Technical background and aptitude.
National Senior Certificate (Matric).
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field is advantageous but not essential.
