

Our client is seeking an experienced senior level Tax Manager to lead tax compliance and consulting engagements while managing a diverse portfolio of clients across multiple industries.
This role is responsible for overseeing tax planning initiatives, reviewing complex tax returns, mentoring staff, and identifying opportunities to strengthen client relationships and grow the practice. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with strong technical tax expertise and a commitment to delivering exceptional client service.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and maintain strong client relationships across a variety of industries.
Lead tax compliance and consulting engagements from planning through completion.
Oversee engagement workflow, resource allocation, budgeting, billing, and profitability.
Review complex federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts.
Provide strategic tax planning and identify tax-saving opportunities for clients.
Conduct tax research and analyze complex tax issues to ensure compliance with current regulations.
Collaborate with other service lines to deliver integrated solutions for clients.
Mentor, coach, and develop staff through training, performance feedback, and career guidance.
Stay current with changes in tax laws and communicate their impact to clients and team members.
Participate in business development initiatives, networking events, and professional organizations.
Contribute to internal projects focused on process improvement, technology, and knowledge sharing.
Qualifications
CPA, J.D., LL.M., or Master's degree in Taxation Required.
Minimum of 5 years of public accounting or corporate tax experience.
Strong technical knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations.
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships.
Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage and mentor teams.
Excellent analytical, research, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency with tax preparation and accounting software.
