Our client is seeking an experienced International Tax Manager to lead complex international tax engagements and provide strategic tax planning, compliance, and consulting services to multinational clients.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of U.S. international taxation, experience with individual and business tax matters, and a proven background in public accounting. This role will work closely with clients, Partners, Managers, staff, foreign affiliates, and external advisors to deliver high-quality international tax solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee international tax engagements from planning through completion, ensuring deadlines and client expectations are met.

  • Develop a deep understanding of clients' industries, businesses, and tax objectives.

  • Lead international tax planning, structuring, and consulting projects for multinational clients.

  • Review and approve complex international tax compliance filings in accordance with firm standards and risk management policies.

  • Oversee international tax calculations and modeling, including:

    • GILTI

    • Subpart F

    • FDII

    • BEAT

    • Foreign Tax Credits

  • Coordinate with global member firms, foreign affiliates, and external advisors across multiple jurisdictions.

  • Provide technical guidance on complex or ambiguous international tax matters.

  • Identify tax savings and strategic planning opportunities for clients.

  • Lead IRS and international tax authority audit strategies, issue resolution, and senior-level communications.

  • Maintain current international files

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or a related field.

  • 5–7+ years of public accounting experience.

  • Strong experience with individual, corporate, and partnership taxation.

  • Previous experience working with high-net-worth individuals and families.

  • Experience with tax compliance, tax review, planning, and advisory services.

  • Strong client-management and communication skills.

  • Experience supervising, mentoring, and developing tax professionals.

  • Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to manage multiple engagements and meet strict deadlines.
