ProCareer Ltd. is recruiting on behalf of its client - an international bunker trader and physical supplier of marine fuel. With over 20 years of presence in the shipping and energy sectors, the company has built a strong reputation through long-term partnerships, commercial expertise, and a pragmatic approach to business.
We are currently seeking a hands-on Accountant to join our team in Limassol to support daily financial operations in a fast-paced shipping environment.
This is a high-volume, detail-driven operational role, where accuracy, consistency, and the ability to follow processes are critical.
What you will be doing:
Support day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting operations across a group of companies
Issue and process invoices, ensuring accurate record-keeping
Record and allocate bank transactions, prepare and process online payments
Monitor incoming payments from clients and manage supplier payment schedules, as well as credit line utilization and repayment schedules
Prepare documentation and supporting materials for audits
Assist in preparing documentation for banking and financing activities
Support month-end closing by performing reconciliations and preparing accounting reports
Perform other ad hoc accounting and administrative tasks as required
What we are looking for:
Previous experience in accounting or bookkeeping
Relevant degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Proficiency in MS Excel
Good command of Greek and English (written and spoken)
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage evolving priorities
A proactive attitude, willingness to learn and the ability to work effectively as part of a small team
Experience in the maritime industry is an advantage
