Application Developer (Hybrid – Cape Town, Century City)

Work setup: Hybrid (3 days in office per week)
Travel: Occasional travel to the USA and Johannesburg

We’re working with a global technology company at the forefront of robotics and automation, transforming industries such as construction and mining. They’re looking for a talented Application Developer to join their expanding Cape Town engineering team.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you’ll help design, develop, and optimize systems that integrate robotics, automation, and cutting-edge software applications. You’ll be involved in:

• Building scalable, high-performance applications using C# and .NET

• Developing performance-critical components in C++

• Creating and maintaining Web APIs for system communication

• Working with PostgreSQL databases and AMQP messaging systems (e.g., RabbitMQ)

• Applying OAuth protocols and Cybersecurity best practices

• Contributing to 3D visualization and signal-processing applications

• Collaborating across teams to troubleshoot, test, and deploy solutions

What You’ll Bring

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)

• 3–5 years’ coding experience with C# / .NET and C++

• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum or Waterfall methodologies

• Exposure to AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud platforms

• Bonus points for Kubernetes, 3D frameworks (OpenGL, Unity), or DevSecOps experience

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
