Our client is building a new kind of financial membership, combining onchain banking, rewards, wellness, lifestyle benefits, and physical products into one connected experience, backed by a broader fintech infrastructure and affiliate network.
The company is being built as a globally recognised, high-end brand. But before the company voice, they need strong personal brands around the founders and key figures behind it. These are not corporate mouthpieces — they need their own point of view, tone and audience, while staying connected to the wider company story.
About the Role
This is a high-pressure role in a fast-paced, demanding environment. Avoid this role if you are seeking a comfortable routine or standard corporate perks. Do not apply if you are simply looking for a job to maintain; join only if you are driven by the desire to build a high-impact passion project.
You won't just be running social accounts – you'll be building the personal brand of a founder from day one, with the chance to say later that you were there before anyone knew the name.
We are looking for a Social Media Manager whose primary mandate is personal branding for founders and senior leaders, with company brand management as a secondary responsibility that grows over time based on capacity and results.
This is not a calendar-filling, report-summarising role. We currently work with agencies that produce generic, duplicated content across platforms with no point of view — we are replacing that model entirely.
You will start by owning the personal accounts of two to three senior figures, each with a distinct audience and purpose:
A founder/CEO building a public presence around fintech, market thought leadership and founder-led narrative, primarily on X and LinkedIn.
A senior mentor figure building a broad, aspirational following around opportunity, entrepreneurship and personal growth, primarily on Instagram and YouTube through video content.
Potentially a third senior leader (chairman-level), also X/LinkedIn-focused, joining the scope later.
If you handle the personal brands well and have capacity, you may take on one or more company accounts (the consumer-facing brand and/or its underlying infrastructure brand), each with its own audience, tone and positioning. Company work is a bonus scope, not the core job.
Personal brand strategy: define a distinct voice, positioning, content pillars and platform role for each leader you work with — not a copy of their corporate messaging.
Platform differentiation: adapt content for X, LinkedIn, Instagram, and YouTube rather than duplicating posts. Each platform gets its own format, tone, cadence, and content approach.
Content production: independently write, edit, schedule and publish original posts, threads, replies, quotes and long/short-form content — not just summaries of reports or PR.
Proactive engagement: build and maintain lists of relevant accounts to monitor, reply to, quote or react to, so each leader becomes part of real conversations, not just a broadcaster.
Weekly and monthly content calendars covering diverse topics and formats, built in advance and populated with original ideas — not just filling a quota.
Direct collaboration with leadership: extract ideas, opinions and experiences from conversations and turn them into credible, non-manufactured content; ask the questions needed to fill information gaps rather than guessing or inventing facts.
Approval workflow ownership: prepare content for a structured, two-step review process (internal review, then leader sign-off), and maintain clear brand guidelines per account (voice, vocabulary, do's and don'ts) to reduce rework over time.
Advertising support: run or support paid social campaigns, primarily for Instagram/YouTube content, with fintech/crypto ad experience considered a plus.
Performance analysis focused on quality, not just volume: track relevant-audience growth, engagement quality, replies and shares from meaningful accounts, and profile visits — follower count growth is a secondary metric.
Company brand support (secondary, capacity-dependent): if bandwidth allows, manage one or more company social accounts (consumer brand and/or infrastructure brand) with the same standard of differentiation and quality.
Cross-functional coordination: work with the design team on visual assets (static, carousel, short-form video, etc.), and coordinate with the PR lead on live media opportunities and press-worthy moments.
3+ years of professional social media experience, or less with an exceptional, independently proven track record (e.g., growing an account to 100K+ followers in approximately one year).
Demonstrated experience building personal or founder/executive-led brands, not only corporate/company accounts.
Excellent English writing skills; native or near-native fluency strongly preferred. Precise, idiomatic use of language matters — this is a public-facing, high-visibility role.
Ability to independently develop and manage content calendars and campaigns end-to-end, across multiple accounts and platforms simultaneously.
High ownership and autonomy: comfortable proposing ideas, asking clarifying questions, and moving forward without being told exactly what to do each day.
Strong organisational systems: version control, asset tracking, approval workflows and reporting that hold up even as volume increases.
Comfortable working closely and directly with senior leadership, including handling direct feedback and iterating quickly.
Strong advantages:
Experience with luxury, hospitality, fashion, travel or premium consumer brands — directly relevant to the consumer brand scope, though not equally relevant across all accounts.
Experience in crypto, Web3, fintech or financial services.
Experience building broad, aspirational, non-niche audiences (relevant to mentor-style personal brands).
Understanding of KOL, influencer and creator ecosystems.
Experience with paid social advertising.
Intro call with a recruiter (30 min)
Hiring manager (CMO) interview (30-45 min)
Hiring manager (CMO) assessment interview with online task (1 hour)
Optional: final interview with senior leadership for final sign-off.
Offer
This is an intense, high-ownership role — not a 9-to-5, task-list job. Output and initiative matter more than hours logged.
Leadership approvals can take time; the expectation is that you deliver quality work on time regardless, and use waiting periods productively (planning, research, drafting ahead).
Occasional late-night or weekend publishing should be expected around launches, campaigns and market developments.
You will not manage direct reports. You will work alongside a separate design team, another social media manager (for company brand accounts), a content manager and a PR lead, with light weekly coordination — most of your day-to-day cadence is direct with the hiring manager, not daily standups.
Be part of building both a globally recognised consumer brand and the personal brands of the people behind it, from an early stage.
Significant creative ownership with direct access to senior leadership and fast decision-making once processes are set.
Work at the intersection of fintech, crypto, lifestyle and high-end brand building.
Competitive compensation with room to grow into a broader brand mandate as the company scales.
This is a demanding, high-ownership role best suited to someone who wants a project to build, not a job to maintain.
